tamron 70-200mm or nikkor 85mm

guys just want to hear from you, if you where given a chance to get between tamron 70-200 2.8 and 85mm nikkor.

85mm fix focal pang portrait

gus2 ko sana ung tamron kaso parang mabigat gamitin eh..

telephoto zoom 2.8 lenses are heavy and a bit cumbersome to carry around. Pero sanayan lang yan. bring a tripod if your tele has a tripod collar para mas convenient gamitin. once you get used to this... its very good for portraits and events... specially at low light conditions...

the 85mm prime is a sharp and handy lens... ok sya pag low light kaso be ready to do alot of "dancing" aka foot zoom to adjust with you subject. masarap gamit ito for bokeh effect. i've owned and use one before... all i can say is that this is much lighter and quite fun to use...

buy after testing my nikon tele... i prefer to use the tele for photoshoots kasi mas convenient and easier to compose shots...

70-200 f2.8 na ako, mas flexible yan, just my dalawang sentimo

Tama sabi ni Master 'Indian' Jing. Sanayan lang iyan. no doubt its heavy to carry. But for hand held shooting, iba ang experience ko. I like it better with my 400D. Its balances the body. I used it more often than lighter lenses like Sigma 17-70 or Canon 50mm 1.8II. Funny, i have more camera shake on lighter lenses than heavy lenses shooting handheld The extra length will come in handy too specially shooting events. Here's a sample shot taken with 70-200mm during an event which you cannot 'foot zoom':

The Nikon telephoto zooms are very sharp during daytime shots...

after reviewing the photo from my lcd viewfinder... i can conclude the following about the subject.

1. she has a mole (maybe a zit) on her nose
2. she has well manicured toe and finger nails
3. colorful bikini shorts

Another shot from Eco Park last Dec06... from atop the hill shooting down on the lake ... about 50meters may 60 meters away

Erwin ang masasabi please go with 85 kasi walang kapantay quality nun even you have 70-200 soon importante parin yung 85 actually first GF and first love ko yung 85mm until now kahit meron akong ibang GF's lagi ko parin hinahanap yung first love ko

Erwin, one practical advice. stick to what you have first. join our shoot. hiram mo muna first GF ni Denz and long bow ni Jing before deciding. ipon ka pa while thinking about it. decide when you are sure

or pwede rin yung long bow ni Renegade...

its ok... no problem...

denz pinag iispan ko nga yang 85mm..(sa kitlens ko sinubukan ko mag shoot all 85mm, ang ganda ng result eh sharp sya, kulang lang sa bokeh. cguro ok na yang 85mm prime) if ever eto mabili ko kalimutan ko na yang 70-200... gus2 ko rin pa kc mag wide lens eh..

i'll go for the tammy 70-200 f2.8
